I, personally, cannot wait to see The Favourite. Nothing is going to stop me from seeing films by Yorgos Lanthimos. Who doesn’t fall in love with him watching The Lobster(2015)? It made my day when I saw Olivia Colman won.
It is really exciting to see Jennifer Kent being recognized more internationally too. In The Babadook(2014), we saw such a potential story coming from down under. I remembered, in the scriptwriting class in Australia, the professor played the original short film Kent made, Monster(2005). We discussed how the atmosphere is created and the story is well developed. Then, of course, we were all surprised by the ending!

As the wait of London Film Festival, let’s see the latest Venice Film Festival winners!
